Description
Generic Name: Euphyllia glabrescens
Care Level: Easy
Flow: Moderate
Lighting: Medium (100 to 200 PAR)
Origin: Indo Pacific
Points to consider:
Feeding – Although they do get their nutrients from photosynthesis, they do benefit from direct feedings of Roti-Feast and mysis shrimp.
Lighting – Although they do survive and extend longer at low light, they do display better colouration under stronger light. Careful monitoring is required in case of overexposure due to high light.
Caution:
These are one of the corals best known for extending sweeper tentacles. Placing them with enough space for them to extend is a must in order to prevent stinging onto other corals. They are known to be able to place near other Euphyllia corals such as Hammer Corals or Frogspawn corals.
